[Elecraft] Annoying Beeps

I have learned to trust things that Bob says, but this one didn’t agree with my memory. So I checked the source code for the KPA500 on this one. The KPA500 only emits a tone when a fault occurs. It does not emit a beep for key entry. The SPEAKER menu item enables/disables the tone for faults. The beep you may hear with the K3 is in response to commands from the KPA500 and is emitted by the K3, nor the KPA500.
I don’t know if there is a way to control that beep separately from other beeps in the K3.

It also controls the FAULT annunciation as heard via the radio if set to ON. See page 19 in the KPA500 manual. This IS NOT controlled via the radio. You will hear a beep when any button on the KPA500 has been pressed. I certainly would not describe this as "feedback tone".
