Now that is very intriguing to me, Mike.  Do you have a simple source for the magnetic tape that works for you?

I have used the P-touch labels but stick them on a pre-cut  magnetic strip this way you can have add or remove them from the K-pod. The labels are held in place by the magnet. This way you can have a set for contesting, QSO and DXpeditions.
