Another possibility, especially if you are reaching behind the KPA1500 to
insert the USB cable, and can't see the connectors well, is that you've
accidentally pushed the square USB-B plug it into the square RJ-45
(Ethernet) connector instead of into the USB-B connector which is just
above it.
