[Elecraft] sharing K3 RS232 to CAT and Remoterig

OK, I understand.  The Bandmaster III obtains band information from your 
K3 by sending commands that request it and decoding the replies from the 
K3.  That is, it's a 2-way communications.  When the Remoterig box is 
connected, it also sends commands and receives replies from the K3 ... 
also 2-way.

I believe there may be a solution however.  The Elecraft KRC2 band 
decoder obtains band data from the K3 using the ACC port leaving the 
RS-232 CAT port free for the Remoterig.  The KRC2 would essentially 
replace your Bandmaster. [:-(

This solution assumes that the KRC2 continues to produce band 
information for antenna switching when the K3 is connected to the 
Remoterig and in TERMinal mode.  I don't know the answer to that 
question, perhaps someone on the list does.
