[Elecraft] K3 RemoteRig Issue - Remote radio won't power off fully

I had a similar [but not exactly the same] problem when first
configuring for the W7RN remote. Brandon's analysis was that the RS-232
cable between K3 and RRC was intermittent. Turned out he was right, I
finally did the deoxit thing and worked with them, and when finally
seated tightly, problem solved. I don't know if you've had to change
that but it might be worth a check.
