I've been tapped to host an "Elecraft Group" meeting Monday evening, 23 Jan,
at 6:30 p.m., at QuartzFest Area 3.  If you plan to attend, Elecraft owner
or not, I would like to hear from you.  I hope  both current owners and
prospective owners participate.  Let me know what you might like to
see/hear.  

 

I will have use of a projector and can give my New Mexico TechFest
presentation on Station Automation featuring the K-Line or the excellent
"FIELD DAY GUIDE TO THE ELECRAFT K3 for SSB-FD" PowerPoint show.

 

I'm also hoping Elecraft will provide promotional materials based on a
message I sent them earlier this week.  

 

I will setup my K-Line with a portable antenna or two on Friday from 12:30
to 3:00 p.m. in Area 4 and operate the special event station W6V.  Brian,
K7RE, will be there two and we may operate his KX3/KXPA100/PX3 too.  Please
stop by and say hello.  We would like to meet you!

 

The entire list of presentations is not on-line yet at
quartzfest.org/activities.html as I write this.  Stay tuned; Tracy, WA6ERA,
is working on a big lineup!  

 

Hopefully, we'll be able to park far enough away from the maddening crowd to
attenuate the very noisy inverters and generators that permeate the
QuartzFest crowd.
