Hi all,
If you do not use N1MM and an MK2R(+) with at least one K3 radio, then you should probably skip the rest of this message, because it won't be relevant to you.
I have been using N1MM (classic, under Windows XP) with my MK2R+ and a pair of Yaesu FT-1000MP's for a few years with good success. I have just replaced the two Yaesu radios with a K3 and a K3S.
It took me the first 90 minutes of the Sweepstakes to get to the point where N1MM saw both of my radios and was able to send CW. Thankfully, I did get that far. But despite several more hours of playing with every setting I could think of, I could not figure out how to make the MK2R+ transmit on the proper radio in "Auto" mode, i.e. the radio that has transmit focus in N1MM. So I was forced to switch manually using the front panel buttons on the MK2R+.
I know it seems like this issue should be posted on either the MicroHam or N1MM reflectors. However, my MicroHam device was working perfectly fine with N1MM with my Yaesu radios, and the problem only started happening when I switched over to the K3's. So I figured my best bet would be to reach out to people who have succeeded in making the MK2R and N1MM work properly with a couple of Elecraft radios, and this is where I can find that crowd!
Can anyone who has been successful getting N1MM and an MK2R+ to work with a pair of Elecraft K3 or K3S radios please kindly either point me to a document showing how to do it, and what all the relevant settings are, or else perhaps share with me either some screen shots or photos of your configuration screens, or a copy of the page in your station configuration log where you documented all of this? I have found numerous docs online, but couldn't find any that address SO2R with an MK2R and a pair of Elecraft rigs. I have pulled out about as much hair as I can afford to pull out.
Thanks!

p.s. Yes, I am aware that I shouldn't still be using Windows XP. The PC is used only for contesting, I subscribe to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy. :-)
