I semi-answered my own question. I programmed the RIT and XIT to toggle
on/off as follows:

RIT - Macro 14 (tap F6) use SWT45; 
XIT - Macro 15 (tap F7)  use SWT47;

Seems to me that a dedicated/labeled swith setting woulf be better.
