I assume the new beta firmware (or a later stable release) is required
to use the KXV3B in a K3 (no S)?

Further reading suggests that this board can replace the KXV3A board in the K3. I have not been able to find the "manual" yet as I suspect it is still being edited. I was just wondering if there were any other changes that needed to be made to accommodate the swap as this sounds like an excellent upgrade for the K3.Bill-W0BBI
