I have the opposite problem...using version 5.29. My data mode reverts to
AFSK A after mode change and turning radio off and back on. I want it to
remain on FSK D for all bands. Am I doing something wrong? 73, Greg-N4CC

Many thanks Joe.
The latest firmware fixed the problem. All works well.

Greg,
What firmware? There was a bug in setting VFO B data mode fixed
in firmware 5.13.
