Joseph,

Whether you can use those jumpers or not will depend on the wiring of 
the microphone plug.
If it has AF on pin 1, PTT on pin 2, and the return paths on pins 7 and 
8, then you can use those little computer type jumpers - otherwise you 
will have to wire them.
If you need to use wire, one method was presented by Tom Hammond N0SS 
(SK) that you can see in the .pdf file on his website at 
http://www.mmccs.com/mmarc/n0ss/k2_mic_cfg_hdr.pdf

The jumpers are available from Mouser and several other sources, but you 
only need 4 of them unless the mic has up and down buttons, in which 
case, you may want 6.
If you can find an older junker computer, the motherboard, modem board, 
etc may contain enough of those jumpers for your needs.
