[Elecraft] HRD/DM-780, Elecraft K3 and soundcard

There is a SQUELCH slider near the top above the receive window (grayish horizontal bar moving). My slider was in the middle and when I moved the slider to the left all the way, I had solid copy. Where is yours set at?
