[Elecraft] Footswitch Connection on K3

If your mike has a XLR connector, I purchased a cable from Heil and it has a
female jack for the switch. I use it with my RE27. I chose to use the hand
switch but I think he sells the foot switch as well.

That is what I do.  It gives me control over other things, as well. 

But, it does depend on your microphone type.  Some have contacts for the
audio built into the PTT switch on the mic.  Other mics do not have audio
contacts, only a switch for PTT. Some mics do not have a PTT switch at all.

  Good Afternoon once again. I do know that the footswitch is connected to
the PTT In on the back of the K3.  But can I still have the microphone
connected in the front jack and use the footswitch to key the tranmitter and
