Logitech has a stereo speaker that works great. It is meant for the IPAD but it fits Rose's case perfect (does not take up much room) and works in stereo so you can hear the subreceiver when working split. Once charged - runs for a long time on internal battery. Charged via USB. A USB port on a DC distribution box will keep it running indefinitely.

They do require power so may not be the best portable solution for the KX3, I have some little battery powered ones for field use but for the shack they are "da bomb".

They sound very nice and are RF bulletproof. Have 2 inputs as well. Have my KX-2 on one and a TS-590S on the other. 2 thumbs up !
> BTW-I bought a pair of the West Mountains for my next door neighbor who was hearing me on his computer. They worked but broke after a year. My Bose have been going strong for maybe 3 years now. Spend a couple more bucks and buy the Bose.

Yes it is a powered DSP speaker but the fidelity is superb, quiet, no more harsh static sounds. I run my KX3 with a small power supply so getting power to the speaker was a not a problem.
