[Elecraft] KX3 external speaker suggestion> West Mountain Clear Speaker DSP powered

I will chime in on my support of the Bose companions as well, they work great, and have been using them with my K3 for years, and now my K3/0 & Remote rig . They do require power so may not be the best portable solution for the KX3, I have some little battery powered ones for field use but for the shack they are "da bomb".

Although I'm not a real fan of Bose products I highly recommend the Bose Companion powered speakers. About $ 70 at Sam's Club as I recall. I found out about these from the Flex reflector. They sound very nice and are RF bulletproof. Have 2 inputs as well. Have my KX-2 on one and a TS-590S on the other. 2 thumbs up !
BTW-I bought a pair of the West Mountains for my next door neighbor who was hearing me on his computer. They worked but broke after a year. My Bose have been going strong for maybe 3 years now. Spend a couple more bucks and buy the Bose.

Yes it is a powered DSP speaker but the fidelity is superb, quiet, no more harsh static sounds. I run my KX3 with a small power supply so getting power to the speaker was a not a problem.
