[Elecraft] KX3: automated sideband nulling routine using XG3..

Hi All,

I got a copy of the software for running the  OSB nulling from elecraft the other day, and

it seems to work well.  It does not have a very informative U.I.  All you do is set the com ports
for the generator and the radio, and then turn it loose.   About 20 or so min. later it proclaims
that it is finished.   I have done 2 radios so far, and might get a 3rd one done this weekend at our
QRP and home brewers meeting if one of the guys brings his rig.

The hardest part was getting my "OLD" elecraft serial cable driver to play nice.   I got the
thing with my K3 S/N 185,  and I think it is a 'prolific'  USB chip..  I think the new cables
are FTDI or anyhow something with better driver support....

I had to e-mail Elecraft for the software, and they e-mailed the software with a note on how to run it.  I don't
think that they are ready to release it, although I don't see that it would be an issue to do so
in is present version of the software.    Maybe if  enough people ask for it, they might put it
on the web site for download.   Who knows, maybe a few more people will want to get an
XG3!
