OK.  And you raised very valid points.  Which can be addressed by existing
controls.  I am not in favor of a PIN, but if someone else gets a 'warm
fuzzy' feeling by having a PIN, so be it.  There are a number of things I
THINK would be useful on the K3, but I'm a very small potato in the grand
scheme of things. 

And, yes, we have passwords.  A lot of them, and I am getting too old to
keep up with all of them.  And, when I leave the office at work, I DO "Lock
the door"!  And, close it at home when company comes that aren't there for
the radio.  And the computers are behind a very solid "firewall".

As far enjoying ham radio, I do, too.  My major regret is that I didn't get
into it before I did.  

I didn't intend to turn you into a pinata, sorry for that.

Bill... I was asked WHY?... I then gave some reasons why it would be 
helpful or useful to have a lock or PIN... I also said, it may not be 
for everyone and an op out or turn on/off for those people who didn't 
want it should be available
We have passwords on our computers and email accounts, do you lock up 
your computer or do you leave your internet on for hackers to get in and 
cause problems???
I just gave a suggestion on something I THINK would be of use to me... I 
don't think it is constructive treating me like a pinata just because 
you have no use for a PIN...
