[Elecraft] [KAT500] KPA500 firmware upgrade needed?

We'd recommend installing the current KPA500 firmware on our web site.
That's version 1.23.

I'm going to be helping a friend get his new KAT500 set up with his existing
KPA500, which was one of the earlier delivered amps. Do I need to plan to
upgrade the KPA500 firmware for operation with the new tuner?  I don't see a
mention of that in the tuner manual.
