[Elecraft] P3 MKR Operation is jumpy / baud rate

I'll check the cable configuration next chance I get. Everything is working, except for these two anomolies:
1. MKR movement is "jumpy" and
2. In the CONFIG menu, it will show 4800 baud when I press the DISP button even while showing 38,400 when not pushed. What does that mean exactly?
