Fred, that jumper is involved only when using the CTRL input to turn the PR6
off when the K3 is on bands other than 6 meters so you can use the RX
antenna connections on other bands. See page 2 of your PR6 manual.

I got in late on this thread but are you refuting to the PR6 preamp? That
was connected and not letting the K3 shut down because of it being connected
to the aux 12v connector on the rear of the K3?

If this was what was happening I just installed a PR6 on an ser # 5299 and
had no problems I "did not" do anything with a jumper inside. Even though I
don't have that problem do I need to do this?
