[Elecraft] Vox Settings

When I first got the K3 this year for an expedition we are going on this
year, it was quite the change from my TS950.

I'd just go into the menu and set it as one normally would do...put it on a
dummy load and set the gain to 0. Then keep talking at a normal level while
increasing the gain while monitoring yourself . I set the gain to ensure the
best capture without any clipping....a few "notches" above first detection

The next is the anti-vox and that is, per the manual, set so the mic/headset
do not create a feedback situation

The last setting is the NOISE GATE and that will need some playing with as
its a function of ambient noise in the shack like amp fans , etc.

Then play with three items above while monitoring yourself for best overall
operation.
