[Elecraft] New K3, audio (speakers) dead

Steve,
The speaker and headphone outputs are driven by different audio amplifiers. To my knowledge we have never seen both amps fail simultaneously. We also test both of these boards before putting them in each kit.
This sounds suspiciously like the front panel,or the DSP board, is not seated properly with its connectors. We sometimes see builders plug in the FP with the connectors mis-aligned so that some of the pins are not mated. Try removing and replacing the FP and DSP boards while carefully mating their connectors. You can leave one of the side panels off while seating the FP to visually confirm that its connectors are properly mated with the RF board.
If that does not cure it, please contact k3support at elecraft.com and thy will be able to suggest other areas to look at.
