[Elecraft] K3 - ERR BP1, XV3, AT3, IF1

Jim,

These error messages point to an SPI bus communication problem, which in turn is most likely due to an intermittent connection between the front panel and RF board.

Remove the screws from the top and bottom of the front panel assembly, back the assembly out about 1/8th to 1/4", then push it back in, making sure you keep all of the connector pins mated.

If this makes things work again, you could have oxidation on the connector pins. I would contact Gary or Howard in customer support to see if you might need replacement connectors or just cleaning in order to fix the problem permanently. Hopefully just re-seating the panel assembly will get you on the air in the meantime.

If you do not have that saved configuration file, you will have to go through the calibration steps manually and tell the K3 which options are installed after an EEINIT - all menu settings will be restored to the defaults.
