It seems you have missed out by several years of Yaesu's by not having a
FTDX-5000MP and have never used the DNR on one for sure. If you had you
would know that it is superior to the K3's in the implementation, use and
effect. As far fixing yes they did and it works so well it could be an
industry standard. You need to try one before you pass judgment on something
you know nothing about. I never said that I used it during a QSO but to dig
one out to begin with was a lot easier with the 5000.
Thanks for the info on the setup on the "NR" it is quite helpful as I am a
newer K3 user as I stated and still trying to get the most from them.

Fred/N0AZZ

*Frank,
Tap to turn on NR and turn off NR
Whether NR is on or off, a HOLD (1 sec) the NR will bring up adjustment,
variable via VFO B
There is no current facility to change the setting by SAVING it to a PF key
which was the original inquiry.
I have not had a Yaesu in my shack since I discarded the FTdx9000D and I
thought that enough time had passed that Yaesu would have fixed that issue,
but, apparently not?
I have never found a need to do this as I have had the K3 long enough to get
all my settings right. If a transceiver needs to have this adjusted
continuously during qso's then I sure don't one of those. :-)
YMMV
