[Elecraft] freq drift/front end KX3

Is yours a factory build or kit? Mine's a kit and I while building it, the
full-turn spacing for the inside nut for the VFO encoder was a bit far for
mine to make contact. I noticed that while adjusting the VFO, that it
would sometime wander even though I hadn't touched it. In my case, I think
there was just a bit of play in the VFO and once I had it properly seated
and making clean contact the drifting disappeared.

Also does it do it after the radio has been on for a while, or only after
freshly powered up? Even with a bit of play in my VFO, the wandering would
disappear after a few minutes of being powered on. (note my KX3 no longer
exhibits this behavior at all once I got my VFO issues sorted out).
