The temporary solution to the problem is to disable the data display before entering SPLIT mode.  It appears that it WILL remain in SPLIT when you re-enable the data display .

With the P3 SVGA's data display enabled, it seems to inhibit the K3 from >actually entering SPLIT mode even though the "SPLIT" indicator shows in the K3's LCD display.  I've confirmed by measuring the >K3's output with a frequency counter that even though SPLIT is showing, the K3 is still transmitting on VFO A's frequency.  The >VFO B does not change to RED .  The VFO B frequency DOES read the frequency it's set at and the purple cursor moves >properly as you change the VFO B frequency.
