Peter,

I would need more information about your K2, options and menu settings 
to give a better answer, but ---

With no other explanation of how your K2 is configured, I would suggest 
you try changing the 8R Hold menu parameter, and/or look at the T-R 
delay menu parameter which normally would be set in the range of 4 to 8.
