Hello Tony. New K3's should have the power connector pre-installed. You can
confirm that when you place the order to be sure that your has it
retrofitted. The connector in question is shown on page 11 of the K144XV
manual. You can download it from Elecraft by clicking here:

Note that this is not a "PowerPole" connector, it's simple one pin connector
that fits in a hole in the K3's main (RF) board.

am thinking of  geting a k-3 100 w/ all the goodies. the only problem i have
is the 2 meter board. am not that great at soldering. thought i read
somewhere that the power pole now comes preinstalled and you no longer have
to do it yourself.
