Alfredo,

Looking at the MMTTY information files 
(http://www.aa5au.com/gettingstarted/rtty_start8.htm), to operate using 
only the serial RS-232 port, you will need to install EXTFSK.dll. And 
the author suggests that only certain USB to serial adapters can handle 
the 5 bit Baudot code that is sent.

So my thoughts are that you need two of the Simple Transistor Interface 
circuits shown on page 6 of those MMTTY instructions. One for PTT and 
one for FSK. You may ask why you need two of them when the K3 can use a 
PTT signal from the normal RS-232 cable, but the answer is that the FSK 
signal from MMTTY is on the TxD signal and the PTT can be either on RTS 
or DTR - *but* they must be on the same com port. You need one com port 
for MMTTY and another for K3 firmware loads or your logging program.
