This sounds like the new firmware fixed a bug. I don't think the amp is 
supposed to put the rig in "drive power" mode when it is in standby 
mode, only when it is in operate mode. I certainly wouldn't want the amp 
to limit the K3's output to 35 watts in standby mode.
