[Elecraft] K3 and band data future?

I'm wondering if others might benefit from an additional bit being added
to the ABCD band data making it ABCDE. This could permit:

1- 32 choices (programmable by the firmware program?)
2- phone/cw antenna automatically being switched or another antenna
being switched to at a certain cutoff freq.
3- integrated A/B antenna switching.

Backwards compatibility could of course be an option.

With antennas becoming shorter and narrower in bandwidth, for some of us
the solution is one antenna for phone and one for CW. Alternatively
fixed matching circuits could be switched in to permit no-tuner QSY.

Note: The K3 has two ground pins on the 15 pin socket. One could be
modified for this extra bit signal.

In addition a set of mode bits could be quite useful.

Perhaps this is a possible "K4" option.
