[Elecraft] slowing down the bug - carpenter's stair guages

Not to lessen the content of QST to ARRL members... but I have info from the author of the article re. slowing down bugs for 5 bucks.
"Go to Canadian Tire and buy a pair for about $5. These square gauges or staircase gauges are manufactured by Johnson (nope, not EF Johnson). You will find them displayed next to the carpenter squares. They have been machined from ¾ inch hex bar stock. You will find they tighten up nicely on bugs with cylindrical vibrating arms AND on bugs with rectangular vibrating arms. They are a perfect match for all of my various bugs. I had an e-mail from a ham who found a pair of gauges from another manufacturer selling at $4. They all do the job and they look like they were designed as bug weights. I believe my H & K article was on page 53 of the December issue of QST. "
These are brass so look nice.. almost purpose-built!!Sorry for indirect connection to use of bug key on an Elecraft product.Obviously USA Home Depot etc. would have the same.
