That is "ONLY" if it was a "UPS OWNED STORE" not one contracted, been there

In my experience, once you've determined that UPS did the packing, the
argument stops.  BTW, also in my experience, the 'Improper or inadequate
packaging' ploy is the first one they use.  Doesn't work when they're the
culprit.
