[Elecraft] KX3 transverter mode

A friend stopped by to show me his KX3 - happened to be during CQWWCW, so I could put the
receiver to real world tests easily, even though all I have for an HF antenna is a random
wire. It took me only a few minutes to remark- this is a K3 in a small box, not a cute
toy. Feels and behaves like a K3. Smooth. Clean. But what do you expect? Its an
Elecraft. We stuck some paddles into it and worked (40M), with some effort, a very sharp
op in Madeira. 6 watts to a random wire from Ca. The VE6 was one call.

While looking the radio over, I tried to figure out a way to bring out the exciter power
level - I have a 28 MHz IF on my Xband radio, and the KX3 would fit on the TWT mounting
plate & eliminate a bunch of wiring, etc. So the question is:

Is there a practical way to get 0 dBm class power levels out of the transmit section?
Separately from the receiver connections- my transverter has separate RX and TX lines. I
REALLY don't want to have to use a 30 dB power pad and yet another relay to split RX and
TX

I note that there is a 2M built in transverter coming - same question here, many other
microwave ops have 2 meter IFs in their radio, and could use "IF" levels out of the
transmitter

It also occurs to me that a KX0 - or even a full KX3 - might be an excellent "remote head"
for single VFO operation of a remote K3, instead of a K0
