The fuses were the 12A ones (I still have the 6A ones in their unopened
envelope.)

I checked the tap is yellow as it should be. The measued AC is 120V. I will
go to the store this morning a buy a few more fuses
and give it another try. The fuse holder looks good. It is positioned so
115V appears through the fuse window, and it looks like the
contacts are aligned correctly to mate with the top two and bottom two clips
on the inside of the fuse holder. (If it were placed in the 230V
position the contacts would mate with the upper one, middle two and bottom
one clips.)
Other than defective fuses, I can't understand why they would blow. Hmmmmmm.
Wayne did contact me and I am sure we will get this all sorted out. Still
the best products from the best company in my book. Just
