[Elecraft] Private Sales of used Elecraft rigs

My biggest concern in shipping rigs overseas is the insurance angle.

When I sent a rig to Australia I was told by the USPS that the insurance I had purchased for the rig would only be good up the the shores of the U.S......once the package left CONUS the insurance would not cover any damage or loss.

That is the only package I have sent overseas so I don't know about UPS or FedEx regarding their insurance policies.

So if one were to ship a K3 valued at circa $3K to an overseas address using USPS Priority mail and it got lost or damaged while in overseas transit what does the seller or the purchaser do???

Do UPS or FedEx offer insurance that will cover overseas mailings??

Does Elecraft have any input given that they ship all over the world???
