One critical setting I don't see mentioned in that page is the line-in
level, which is adjusted using the MIC knob on the K3 front panel
(when MAIN:MIC-SEL is set to "line-in"). Try adjusting that while
MMTTY is transmitting (you can do this with the K3 in TX TEST mode),
and adjust for 5 bars on the ALC meter.

If that doesn't do it, make sure that there are tones coming out of
the sound card, by temporarily connecting speakers.
