[Elecraft] K2 Internal Speaker versus Internal Battery

Since it's not in the instructions, you should leave the speaker
disconnected.  Seems clear.  RX audio is a secondary feature in a
transceiver.

Sometimes, obvious steps are left off from kit instructions.  This is
usualy an oversight.  The kit builder still needs to use some
judgment.  

Sorry to be so direct.  The K2 has been around a long time and works a
lot better with the speaker plugged in.  At least I've found this to
be true.  Headphones work fine too.  :)
