  Brian,

Actually, that does not make a lot of sense.  The T/R switch is too far 
removed from the KNB2 for that to be a problem (unless you were really 
wild with the soldering iron :-) ).

Try jumpering  (with a piece of bent wire) between pins 1 and 6 of the 
J12 header.  If receive comes back to life, you have a problem on the 
KNB2 board.

Let us know the results.
