  Jeff,

The K3 has an input on the ACC connector called "Remote Power On"  on 
Pin 8.  Pull that pin to ground to turn the K3 on.  See the Remote Power 
On description in the manual.

There are many computer devices that will provide a switch closure which 
can be used for this purpose.
