Ken,
Yes, the KSP2 menu entries are a litle bit clumsy, but if you follow the
directions you can get it done. I know you will hae to fumble your way
through them 3 times before it seems OK.
Specifically, to get CF1 back to the LOPASS setting, Tap DISPLAY to
bring up the KDSP2 menu - the first letter of the displayed menu is the
mode, and the number is the filter. If not correct for the filter you
wish to change, tap MODE or press AFIL until it is correct -- yeah, I
know, you have to tap DISPLAY each time you want to check it, the DSP
menu is not "sticky".
OK, so you have C1 nr nt on the display - hold the RCL button to move to
the next menu. You should see something like C.1 .60 .80 on the
display. Note the position of the blinking dot - that is the parameter
that may be changed by tapping the BAND+ or BAND- buttons. To move the
blinking dot to the other parameter, hold the STORE button.
In the case of the CW display, the first number is the center frequency,
and the second is the width. To get the LPASS filter in CW, increase
both the center frequency and the width to their respective maximums.

All I have ever done was accept the default settings since I got it, but have always had the feeling that the denoiser was too aggressive for my taste. I also wanted to see what settings could be tweaked, and once and for all, I wanted to find the darn clock! (I found it. I'm glad I own a watch!)

Clumsy finger hits a button (I don't know which one) and now CF1 is impossibly narrow and has a brick wall cut off at about 500 Hz. It doesn't roll off as you tune down in frequency (on 40m) the audio just stops! CF2, CF3 and CF4 are not affected.
