Hi Dan,

While we might do a USB version in the future, our RS232  
implementation meets all of our criteria:

- it generates no RFI that might modulate the RF signal
- takes almost no PCB space
- is inexpensive, helping keep the cost of the instrument low
- uses almost no supply current
- and is backwards-compatible with older PCs that have only  
traditional serial ports

Nearly all our customers already have USB to serial adapters for use  
with other station equipment, both ours and that of other manufacturers.
