[Elecraft] KX1 Display Delay

I just finished building KX1 s/n 2520 on Friday evening.    Have made about
25 contacts with it, getting good reports on the signal quality and all
seems to be working as it should.    I do have a question about a delay of
the Display.     When transmitting, I get 1 bar (no ATU installed).   When I
stop sending there is about a 1 second delay before the Frequency is
displayed.    Is this normal??
