Good Morning,
I got busy last night after the second net and never got back to this
report. As you can see the nets were sparsely attended. However the
bands were not very active either. I heard some contest activity when I
began the first net but did not notice where they were.
There was little noise or fading, all the signals I heard were strong.
There were just not very many of them. I remembered which button had my
CQ string memorized and held it down for repeat. Both nets ran over ten
minutes but when I was not getting any more check ins I closed down.
On to the lists =>
On 14050.67 kHz at 2200z:
K4JPN - Steve - GA - K2 - 1422
N0TA - John - CO - K3 - 994
K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686
On 7045 kHz at 0000z:
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
K6PJV - Dale - CA - K3 - 1183
Hopefully the sun has recharged the ionosphere so next week's nets will
be more active. Only time can tell but the sun is growing more speckled.
My forecast for today has more snow in it. Luckily Friday has a 50 degree
temperature predicted so it is going to get warmer. Hopefully the frost
danger is nearly over too. Tonight will be the coldest of the week but a
covering of snow will protect the new plants.
If you are interested in acting as a relay station for the net please
email me so we can coordinate the details.
Until next week stay well,
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
