Bill,
Your point (i) refers to the microKeyer II manual; I can't help you there.
Re (ii), you cannot use PSK D with WinWarbler or most other software. For
PSK31 and most other sound card digital modes, you should use DATA A. For
RTTY, you can use either FSK D or AFSK A; both work equally well.
Re (iii), how are you doing PTT? There have been numerous reports of K3s
getting hung up in transmit at the end of messages, coming from people who
had configured their software to use both software PTT and hardware PTT in
parallel. To avoid this problem, you should not use software PTT unless
there is no hardware method available. There are several ways of
triggering hardware PTT from WinWarbler/Commander via the mK II, so
software PTT is unnecessary with this combination. You can turn software
PTT off in Commander by checking the "Suppress CAT" box under the General
tab in Commander's Configuration window.
There is more guidance on configuring WinWarbler and Commander for digital
modes on the K3 at <http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/K3PSKRTTY> .
I hope this helps.
