What is a Goldline MM-5? Google doesn't find it.

The ONLY good reason for an outboard preamp with a K3 is to use a
PROFESSIONAL mic that requires balanced phantom power, and there's no
good reason to use such a mic with a K3. Further, Behringer has a
TERRIBLE reputation in the pro audio world. They are well known for
shoddy manufacturing quality, lousy service, and for stealing product
designs from reputable manufacturers. They were convicted in a German
court of doing that to one mfr, and have settled out of court with at
least two others. They even copied the mistakes on a Mackie circuit
board, and at one point, Mackie couldn't buy the OEM parts to build
their own mixers because Behringer had bought them out from the OEM
vendor to mfr the copied products.
