The ARI-5000 does not have pull-up resistors on the "band data" lines.
The K3 will require either the "Ext Band Data Mods" or the updated
KIO3 Digital/Remote I/O board if the K3 was shipped prior to 10 Dec
2008 (S/N before approximately 2362). See:
    http://www.elecraft.com/K3/mods/K3ALCMod_Rev_B.pdf

With pull-up resistors installed on the KIO3 Digital/Remote IO board
(or on pins 4,5,6 & 7 in the ALS-500), the cable can be similar to
the one designed by N0SS for the K3 and Quadra or FL-7000. See:
    http://www.n0ss.net/k3-to-quadra_08jan2010.pdf
    http://www.n0ss.net/k3-to-fl7000_25aug09.pdf

The connections are:
       K3 ACC ARI-500 RJ-45
    --------------------------------------
         5 ground 1
        13 Band Data A 7
         3 Band Data B 6
         9 Band Data C 5
        14 Band Data D 4
        10 Key Out/PTT 2

TX Inh and +13V are not used by the ARI-500.

73,
