Well between the KX1 and K2 I ended up with the K2. I talked with two friends that have built them. Overall I think the K2 will get more use and suit my general operating better than the KX1 would. That is not to discount the fact that the KX1 is a great rig and I woudl enjoy using it, the K2 is a more versatile rig in my book. Combined with an amp I don't think it can be beat in the performance/versatility categories. 
 
I had one held for me but it was sold so they are going to ship one out to me soon - hopefully it will go out today. I got the K2, 160 kit, and the SSB kit. I wasn't too sure about the noise blanker. I can add that later. What say all? Needed/not needed?
