Agreed.  Those little white nylon spacers wouldn't last a year here in 
Arizona.  Nylon also cold flows under pressure, so any "spreader" force 
is going to be a problem over time in less UV-intensive climates.  I 
don't know why anyone would choose nylon as a material for that application.
