Good Evening,
The weather is down right pleasant. Not too warm, around 60 degrees, but the sun is popping out now and then around the clouds. Not much rain today which is nice after the repeated downpours I've had lately. More flowers are popping out too. A few more species of birds have decided it is alright to visit. I have one Oregon Junco who does not like my truck's mirrors. A little tiny bird beating the heck out of my F250 :) I wonder what he thinks? I know he sees his reflection but you'd think he'd catch on sooner or later that he is not pecking anything but glass. I wonder what he does around puddles?
The bands were OK this week. Normal QSB on 20 meters and quite normal QRN of 40 meters. But signal strength was rather good. The sun has grown a few new freckles here on May Day. I hope you have celebrated any required rite of spring. Most of us are too old to dance the Maypole but we can enjoy the change in season. Each spring I think about surviving another winter. Here it is nothing like getting through the deep snow and sub zero months of the Midwest. Still the rain and snow keeps things cold for some reason. At 40 below zero or colder the snow is very different than it is here when the temperatures barely get cold enough to freeze. I think it was easier to deal with the cold when the snow was dry. At least you could fill garbage bags with it and use them for insulation.
Please join us tomorrow afternoon and evening.
